Answers to FAQs
Q:
What about the left and right inner margins of a page when it appears in printed book form? Do I have to make concessions for that?
A:
As far as I can tell, no. While your pages may be printed in a book format, there shouldn’t be any extra margins you need to make to ensure the book binding doesn’t eat up your art or dialogue. It’s entirely up to the creator to keep important details away from the Trim area and entirely within the Safety area. If you know how your pages are going to be it shouldn’t be too hard, but even if you don’t know which of your pages will be left or right, it’s still common sense to do so. As long as you keep everything within the Safety area, it should be okay.
