Chapter dividers

Volume 1

The chapter dividers were done purely in black and white, and serves as an striking contrast to the art in the rest of the book. It has a ghostly kind of look… which is entirely suited for a story like “The Dreaming”.

Personally, I have a great fondness for black and white art, and will be going back to it after this series is over. The black and white art I plan to do will look nothing like this though - this style is suitable to single page illustrations, but not so much for telling a story (especially if it’s long). It would be interesting, however, to try and use it for a short 10-page story in the future.
